SafetyWatch campaigns
A fundamental part of APIL’s work is to prevent needless injuries. One of the ways we do this is to highlight common dangers in local newspapers, because we know that being properly informed and aware means you are better equipped to avoid hazards. In some of our recent campaigns we have helped people understand how to avoid the dangers of inhaling carbon monoxide, to be aware of the dangers of travelling abroad for cheap cosmetic surgery, and how to avoid injury from unregulated laser eye surgeons.
