About accreditation
It’s really important that the lawyer you choose is the right lawyer for you – so look out for the APIL quality mark logo.
APIL accreditation is overseen by an independent Academic Quality Council, and the scheme has been running since 1999, so it is well-established, with great credentials.
Accredited members promise to keep up to date with all the latest legal developments to help deal with their cases successfully. They commit to 16 hours of training a year – if they don’t do the training, they lose their accreditation.
Many accredited members also specialise in particular types of case, such as medical negligence, injuries at the dentist, road traffic accidents, or disease caused by work. It’s really important that, when you search for a lawyer, you tell us what kind of injury you have suffered, so you can get the right lawyer working for you as quickly as possible.
