External accreditation
By accrediting PI courses offered by other training providers, we give APIL members
greater choice and flexibility in how they fulfil their training commitments.
APIL enables you to use the term 'APIL accredited' on your course and marketing
materials, demonstrating that your PI training meets APIL's quality standard.
Accreditation is given only on a course by course basis. You will need to complete
an application form and enclose an initial cheque for £150 + VAT for the annual
assessment fee plus £125 + VAT for each series of courses you wish to accredit.
Training is accredited for the 2 APIL levels appropriate to the level of the course.
For general update courses accreditation is normally given to cover all APIL levels.
From time to time, APIL assessors may attend accredited training courses to monitor
objectives against the actual programme.
