About Sarah Sharples
I am an Associate Solicitor in Irwin Mitchell's Manchester medical negligence team.
I specialise solely in medical negligence claims and have done my entire career. I was promoted to the position of Associate Solicitor in November 2015.
I have a varied case load including claims relating to acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, cancer diagnosis delays, cauda equina syndrome, stillbirths, inappropriate/ inadequate surgery and complex fatal claims. I have particular interest in brain injury, spinal cord injury and sepsis cases.
I have appeared in interviews on ITV Daybreak, BBC North West Tonight, Granada News, BBC Radio 5 Live to name a few.
I am a founding committee member of Headway Wigan & Leigh and take great joy in seeing how the group supports people with ABI and their families. I am also a founding member of the Oswestry Sarcoma Group based at the Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital which supports patients with sarcoma.
I am committed to pro bono and I act as the Social Responsibility co-ordinator for the Manchester office.
I am the very proud mother of my beautiful daughter, Olivia, who surprises me every single day and reminds me that life is precious.
