About Sinead Rollinson-Hayes

Solicitor specialising in medical negligence cases with a varied caseload including delays in diagnosis/misdiagnosis, psychological injuries, inquest representation, spinal cord and neurological injuries.

I run my own varied caseload which includes progressing cases for bereaved families (including inquest representation), patients suffering a delay in diagnosis of cancer, neonatal deaths and serious injury. I have a particular interest in investigating the care provided to individuals regarding their mental health. I have been involved in cases which have resulted in significant amounts being awarded as compensation to severely injured clients.

I also assist with a number of medical negligence cases where claimants have suffered significant neurological injuries sustained from birth, paraplegia injuries as well as serious life changing amputations.

I am one of the representatives at Irwin Mitchell in Sheffield who co-ordinates the government led PRIME initiative. This initiative supports children and young adults from less advantageous backgrounds to gain work experience in the legal sector.

As a graduate from Sheffield Hallam University, I continue to be involved in the Sheffield Hallam Mentoring Scheme, acting as a mentor for students who are interested in a career in law.

I have a real interest in supporting charities and getting involved in the local community. I have successfully completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge in aid of the British Heart Foundation, 10k run for Macmillan Cancer Support and a number of volunteering opportunities for Rotherham Hospice including their midnight memory walk and Santa dashes! I also volunteered as an Appropriate Adult for SOVA in Sheffield, supporting young individuals and adults with mental health in police custody.

I am currently a branch member for the British Heart Foundation in Sheffield, a Trustee for Sheffield Mind and committee member for the Young Legal Aid Lawyers.
