About Susan Todhunter

Susan obtained an LLB (Hons) Law Degree from Wolverhampton Polytechnic in 1987, before joining fbc solicitors as a Trainee Solicitor. She qualified as a Solicitor in the Personal Injury Department in 1991 and has specialised in claimant personal injury matters since 1993. Susan became a Partner in 1997.

A leader in her field, Susan heads the Firm’s Multi Track Team, dealing with high value and complex catastrophic injury claims. She is renowned for her approach and expertise in this area.

In particular Susan has extensive experience of acting for claimants (both adults and children) who have suffered  catastrophic injuries and often involving traumatic brain injury. She has successfully secured several £multimillion settlements for her clients including £6 million for Mr P who suffered serious brain and orthopaedic injuries as a result of a road traffic accident and £3 million for a child who suffered brain injury when he was hit by a falling gate.

Susan provides ongoing support for her seriously injured clients and their families, and is focussed on ensuring the successful outcome of every claim includes funding of long term care arrangements when required. Susan works closely with the Firm’s Court of Protection specialist, Julie Burn, to ensure that clients have access to Deputyship services when they are unable to make financial and long term care decisions for themselves, usually as a result of a brain injury.
