About Andrew James
I am a Senior Associate at Hodge Jones & Allen specialising in mesothelioma and asbestos disease claims.
I have acted for the victims of asbestos disease for over 30 years, referred as private clients, via trade unions and charities in the UK and Australia. I regularly attend the Asbestos in Schools and Asbestos Sub-Committee of the All Parliamentary Group at the House of Commons.
As part of claims pursued at HJA we try and obtain funding for non NHS treatments and I have been successful in obtaining ongoing funding to cover the cost of immunotherapy for mesothelioma sufferers. This treatment is not currently available under the NHS for mesothelioma, although it is for lung cancer.
I am currently involved in a number of asbestos in talc mesothelioma claims being pursued in the United States.
I am an APIL Accredited Asbestos Disease and Occupational Disease Specialist.
As part of our service at Hodge Jones & Allen we arrange to see our clients at home and advise in full on any entitlement to benefits and on the prospects of bringing a civil claim for compensation.
We will advise on the methods of funding available and if you succeed in your civil claim then you will keep 100% of any compensation agreed or awarded.
"Easy to talk to and compassionate for me, explained everything fully and in plain English. Very prompt service, professional and pleasant to deal with throughout."
"Andrew James came to my house and did a thorough history of my working life to establish all the facts he could. He kept in contact so I knew the progress at all times. He was always very helpful. I am very happy with the settlement he obtained for me. I will have no worries for my wife in her future."
"From our first meeting with Andrew James we received excellent service, efficient, prompt, kind and very understanding due to the nature of this case. He would always explain things in detail, nothing was too much trouble and would like to thank him very much. My husband would have been very proud of the outcome of his case."
