About Ipek Tugcu
I represent adults who have suffered a brain injury due to medical negligence or accidents, such as road traffic accidents.
I have over 10 years' legal experience in acting for those who have been harmed. I have particular expertise in investigating claims relating to stroke, brain tumours and hypoxic brain injuries as well as brain injuries from road traffic accidents, including traumatic brain injuries and post-concussion syndrome. I manage a team of lawyers who assist me in high value and complex claims. I offer all clients a flexible approach, and am happy to speak during the evenings or weekends - if this is easier for you.
I am keen to support brain injury survivors and their families with early neurorehabilitation and financial assistance to help them get back on their feet. I support Headway East London, a brain injury charity, where I have acted as a mentor to two gentlemen who have suffered brain injuries. I regularly attend fundraising events and support groups in their Hackney branch. I am passionate about raising awareness of sepsis and encephalitis, having previously represented both children and adults who have been affected. I am also regularly featured in the media discussing the issue of brain injury, and specifically concussion, management in sport.
Whilst I specialse in brain injuries, I have experience in investigating a broad variety of claims, including orthopaedic, surgical and gynaecological. I represented a number of patients who were injured by 'rogue' doctors such as Simon Lambert, Roger Bainton and Ian Paterson. I have represented children, adults and estates of the deceased. I have experience in dealing with Coroner's inquest investigations.
I am of dual nationality (Turkish-Belgian) and speak fluent Turkish. I am happy to provide free, no-obligation, legal advice to anyone seeking a confidential view on their circumstances.
