The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) is delighted to be returning again this year with its annual training programme for expert witnesses.

These APIL courses aim to deliver practical guidance to enhance and develop the skills and knowledge required to become an excellent expert. They can serve as an introduction but also as an up-to-date refresher, to improve your current skill-set.

The second of the two courses is a general experts course, appropriate for all experts in personal injury litigation including medical experts, experts in care & rehabilitation; prosthetics and orthotics; employment; accountancy, accommodation and architecture. This will concentrate mostly on post-issue stage of the case, joint expert meetings, preparing for and giving evidence at trial.

  • Observe a practical demonstration of a civil trial, evidence being given in a witness box, and how to cope under cross-examination

Review of the mock trial: What went right? What went wrong and any questions
