About Emma Bell
I qualified as a solicitor in September 2013 having joined Irwin Mitchell in August 2011 as a trainee solicitor. I completed a four year degree in law with French at Newcastle University and subsequently, the Legal Practice Course in York.
I deal with clients who suffer from a wide range of occupational illnesses and in particular, asbestos related diseases. I have a wide range of experience in dealing with claims for mesothelioma, asbestosis, asbestos related lung cancer and pleural thickening.
I am an accredited Senior Litigator of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and APIL accredited as both an Occupational and Asbestos Disease Specialist and a Fatal Accidents Act Specialist. I was awarded the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Award from the College of Law in 2011, upon completion of the Legal Practice Course.
I am also heavily involved in a support group for people suffering with asbestos related diseases within the local area.
