Accreditation for professionals

Senior Litigator Injury lawyers quote

APIL accreditation was established in September 1999. It provides quality marks demonstrating the competence and specialist expertise of solicitors and barristers dealing with personal injury claims. These quality marks help injured people to determine which lawyer may be the best to help them with their particular claim. They also serve to differentiate APIL members from unscrupulous claims farmers and inexperienced lawyers who may take on specialist personal injury work and who may not be able to provide an expert service.

In 2012, APIL developed a framework, comprising Standards of Occupational Competence at various levels according to an individual’s ability. Firms can use the Standards as a benchmark of competence, for recruitment and development of staff. When a certain Standard has been achieved, lawyers can apply for entry to the APIL accreditation scheme.
