About Malcolm Johnson
Malcolm Johnson qualified as a solicitor in 1994 and he is a Senior Associate at BL Claims in London where he undertakes both personal injury and clinical negligence cases. He is a member of the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel, the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners and a Fellow of APIL. He is also the Co-ordinator of APIL's Child Injury Special Interest Group.
Malcolm specialises in child abuse compensation claims. He helped set up the Association of Child Abuse Lawyers and he is one of the authors of “Child Abuse Compensation Claims” published by Jordans.
He is also the author of “Claims against the MIB” published by the Law Society, as well as numerous articles in the legal press. He has appeared on radio and television to talk about his work and he contributes to Jordans “Personal Injury and Precedents” in which he writes the section on children.
Malcolm is a solicitor advocate. He has represented Claimants at trial, at inquests and before the Upper Tier Tribunal. He was the Claimant's advocate in the following cases:-
ABC v P  EWHC 1953 (QB) - freezing injunction in case involving allegations of voyeurism
VN & SN v Brent and Others  EWHC 936 (QB) - claim by foster children
Y v First-tier Tribunal & CICA  EWCA Civ 139 - claim to the CICA for genetic damage caused by incest
