Masood Ahmed

Masood Ahmed is an Associate Professor at the University of Leicester Law School where he teaches and conducts research in the civil justice system and reform; civil procedure; and alternative dispute resolution.  He has written extensively in his areas of research and his work has been published in various leading academic and practitioner journals.

As a member of the Civil Procedure Rule Committee, Masood has been involved in the implementation of various reforms to the civil justice system, including the digitisation reform programme of the civil court process. He was also recently appointed to the Civil Justice Council to assist it in reviewing the role and functions of the pre-action protocols.

Masood is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Personal Injury Law and is an editorial member and commentator of the White Book.

Prior to academia, Masood qualified as a solicitor at an international law firm and specialised in dispute resolution.
