Cardiff-based lawyer fights for justice for injured people

A Cardiff-based lawyer has taken on a leading role with a national not-for-profit campaign group for injured people.

Pauline Roberts of Hugh James, based in Cardiff, has been elected the Welsh representative executive committee member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).

“I have been on APIL’s executive committee before, but now it is a real honour to represent Wales as a whole,” said Pauline.

“I have over three decades of experience in the field of personal injury and specifically cases involving harmful products. I understand the need for our consumer safety laws to evolve and adapt for modern lives and technology. I will continue to use that knowledge, helping injured people get their lives back on track.”

“I am particularly interested in APIL’s campaign work on reforming the law on bereavement damages. Far too many people who have lost loved ones are left unrecognised by the law and this must change.”

“This role will bring new challenges, and I am really pleased to be playing my part in APIL’s work.”
