Stress and anxiety are terms used interchangeably but there are important differences between them and therefore some of the strategies to cope with them also differ. Understanding what you are experiencing is essential to responding appropriately. This session guides participants to develop a better understanding of the topics and focuses heavily on the strategies and approaches that can be used to navigate them, leaving delegates feeling informed, empowered, and more in control. Some of the hints and tips provided can be utilised by attendees with line management responsibility, to share their knowledge gained, and to support the coping skills of their direct reports too.
Delegates will be able to:
- Recognise that stress and anxiety are normal parts of the human experience and differentiate between them
- Identify the importance of mindset and resilience in dealing with these issues
- Utilise a menu of options, tools, and techniques, that can support them in navigating stress and anxiety more confidently
- Assess the influence of pessimism, optimism, and realism when considering their experiences
