About Bridget Collier

Bridget has always worked for Claimants and has over 20 years experience.  She is a senior associate at Fieldfisher in their team claiming compensation for asbestos related diseases for those in the North of England including Manchester and Liverpool in the Northwest area, Newcastle, Darlington, Morpeth and Hexham in the North East of England and all other areas.  She is an APIL accredited senior litigator and accredited asbestos and occupational disease expert.

Her experience of dealing with mesothelioma claims led to her helping APIL with negotiations when the Diffuse Mesothelioma Scheme was in creation and now she sits on the oversight committee of the Scheme to ensure that its operation is correct.

Bridget is known for her ability to succeed in difficult asbestos related disease cases.  Clients quickly build a good rapport with her from the first visit at home.  As she has always been a Claimant lawyer she understands the need to work on a no win no fee agreement to give clients the peace of mind that their case will be dealt with efficiently and with no concerns over legal fees.

Bridget’s has given considerable time to assisting APIL and fighting for the rights of Claimants for many years. Whilst taking an active role on the executive committee of APIL during the last 4 years she has contributed to government consultations and spoken out to journalists on many issues.

She has also contributed to APIL's training days for Mesothelioma lawyers over several years.

Even prior to being elected to represent in this way she took an active interest in Claimant lawyers working together and coordinated APIL's northwest regional meetings for many years.
