About David Hughes
I graduated with a First Class degree in Law in 2014 and went onto complete my LPC in 2016. I was admitted to the rolls as a solicitor in 2018.
I come from a broad legal background including dealing with Industrial Disease and multi-track catastrophic injury claims, Criminal Injury (CICA) and housing possession proceedings. I also have extensive advocacy experience, attending court on a regular basis for a range of matters such as complex disclosure applications and CMCs as well as extensive Family Law Proceedings including domestic violence, non-molestation and Children Act proceedings.
I specialise in asbestos-related diseases including mesothelioma, pleural thickening, lung cancer and asbestosis.
I regularly settle asbestos cases (both living and fatal) for six-figure damages sums. I have also run many multi-Defendant cases and cases that involve complex dependency considerations and accommodation claims as well as excelling in complex apportionment.
Outside of work, I enjoy participating in airsoft, playing video games and catching up on the latest movies. I also love cooking and cocktail-making, as well as home-brewing. I am also a fan of American Football.
