About Dawn Fay Humphries

Dawn is a partner and heads the spinal injury team within the personal injury department.  She joined Lanyon Bowdler in 1997 but has specialised in representing claimants in respect of personal injury for over 30 years. She has acted for a large number of claimants including injured military personnel, who have sustained serious multiple injuries, often achieving multimillion pound settlements. Dawn has a specialist interest in spinal injury, acquired brain injury and amputee cases.  Dawn is particularly committed to ensuring her clients achieve the best possible financial result by obtaining early funding for care provision and access to specialist treatment. She also considers appropriate and accessible housing and adaptations as a priority. She values the need for early rehabilitation, case management and vocational support and feels privileged to work in an experienced multi disciplinary team that takes a holistic approach, with the client’s wishes and needs at the heart of decision making. Dawn also works closely with the Midland Centre for Spinal Injuries in Oswestry.

Lanyon Bowdler is a member of the Spinal Injury Association and Headway - The Brain Injury Association and appears on their approved list of Personal Injury Solicitors. Dawn is a member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel and a Senior Litigator with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.

The 2018 edition of Chambers UK states ‘Dawn Humphries is recognised for her work in acquired brain and spinal injury cases as well as employers’ liability and occupational disease claims. Clients describe her as “focused, clear in her instructions, empathetic with patients and prompt in responding to queries”.  ’The 2017 edition of The Legal 500 recommends Dawn stating she ‘is a lawyer clients can trust’.
