About Emma Leary

I have worked at James Murray Solicitors since 2006, qualifying as a Solicitor in 2009. James Murray Solicitors are a close knit family type firm where we all support each other. It is a friendly and professional place to work.  We are well known in the local community. Excellent client care is our mantra.

I hold Senior Litigation status with APIL and I am an Accredited Occupational and Asbestos Disease Specialist. 

I initially worked in the general personal injury field dealing with Accidents at Work and Trip/Slip claims etc. I rose to the level of Senior Solicitor within the civil department, from this my interest in Industrial Disease, particularly Asbestos related disease developed.

I believe that one of my main strengths is my inter personal skills and I enjoy dealing with clients on a personal level. As I have had personal experience with my family member being diagnosed with an asbestos related illness, I have a greater appreciation of the impact of such a diagnosis, understanding that I am potentially dealing with clients and their families at possibly the lowest and most emotional point in their lives.

I started my law degree as a mature student, while raising a family. I feel that my time working in the non-legal environment has helped me communicate to my clients what can sometimes be complex legal issues. As a solicitor I cannot turn the clock back. I can however help guide my clients and their families through a very difficult time and ensure that they receive all the guidance, help and compensation they are entitled to.
