About Heather Moore

Heather is an accredited APIL Senior Litigator. She qualified as a solicitor in 2016 and joined Slater and Gordon’s medical negligence department in London in January 2017. She became an Associate Solicitor in 2019.

Heather specialises in clinical negligence claims. She has managed a wide range of medical negligence cases throughout her career including; amputations, birth injuries, delay in diagnosis and surgical errors. She has also worked on large group actions and has assisted clients through Inquests.

Heather worked as part of a team towards the successful resolution of the Ian Paterson litigation. A global settlement of the litigation was achieved for £37 million which encompassed over 750 claimants including provision for future claimants to receive compensation for their injuries. The team was nominated for Outstanding Case of the Year and Medical Negligence Team of the Year at the Proclaim Legal Awards 2018. Heather was also a nominee for Young Achiever of the Year at the Personal Injury Awards 2019 and a nominee for Rising Star of the Year at the PICC Awards 2019.

 Since September 2021 Heather has managed an additional Spire Healthcare compensation fund for any former patients of Ian Paterson who have yet to be compensated for their injuries.
