About Laura Magson
I am a director and head of the mesothelioma and asbestos team at Boyes Turner. I have dedicated my career to clients suffering with mesothelioma, asbestosis, lung cancer and pleural thickening for the last 15 years.
I represent claimants with limited life expectancies, regularly issuing proceedings wtihin weeks of instruction and taking pro-active steps to achieve settlement as quickly as possible in complex industrial disease cases. I have settled cases for mesothelioma patients obtaining sizeable compensation but also faciltating further awards if future private treament such as immunotherapy is needed. This gives Claimants the peace of mind that any future treatment will be funded by the Defendants.
I am an accredited Senior Litigator and Asbestos Disease Specialist with APIL. I was also recognised as a "Next generation lawyer" in 2017-18 Legal 500 land as a "Rising Star" in Legal 500 2021. Testimonials from Legal 500:
"The thorough, professional and compassionate Laura Magson is highly recommended by her clients for her longstanding reputation for achieving success in difficult asbestos cases"
‘Laura Magson knows nearly all there is to know about asbestos litigation. She has a calming manner and is a dream to work with.’
I also act for clients who have sustained serious injuries in road traffic accidents or other incidents. I have a particular interest in claims for cyclists and fatal accidents. I act for bereaved families who have lost loved ones in car accidents or other tragic circumstances
My compassion and commitment to easing my clients’ anxiety is demonstrated with the persistence which drives me to succeed in heavily defended and difficult cases which other lawyers are unable to pursue.
I have both the compassion and the legal expertise needed to obtain justice and compensation for bereaved families and negotiate voluntary repayments of end of life care costs for the hospices which nurse her clients .I work hard to conclude mesothelioma cases during a client’s lifetime and have obtained sizable sums within months of instruction, but also obtained court orders for the provision of future private treatment costs, such as immunotherapy, that are not available on the NHS. my clients have the security of knowing any future treatment will be funded.
