About Neil Sugarman

Neil is the managing partner of GLP Solicitors of Bury, Greater Manchester.
He is a fellow and past president of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and an APIL accredited brain injury lawyer. He has been closely involved in the planning and presentation of APIL brain injury training and education for many years. Neil has also been involved in APIL’s rehabilitation work, including its contribution to the revisions of the Rehabilitation Code and APIL’s own guides to the Code.
He conducts criminal injuries compensation claims on behalf brain injured clients and has a special interest in representing catastrophically injured shaken babies. He received a commendation for this in the UNICEF Child Rights Lawyer of the Year Awards 2001. Neil is an APIL delegate to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority’s Stakeholder and Equality Forum.
He is also an updating author to Butterworths Personal Injury Litigation Service
Neil is an appointed tribunal judge to the First Tier Tribunal of the Social Entitlement Chamber.
