About Parbeen Alamgir

Parbeen is a Partner and Birth Injury Solicitor at Fletchers, where she has been a valued member of the firm since April 2018. She qualified as a solicitor in 2012 and has since specialised in representing Claimants in catastrophic and high-value clinical negligence claims.

Over the past several years, Parbeen has dedicated her practice exclusively to birth injury litigation, with a particular focus on cases involving hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE), cerebral palsy, hypoglycaemic insult, encephalitis, and other complex neurological conditions. Her expertise and commitment to achieving justice for families affected by avoidable birth injuries led to her promotion to Partner in August 2025, where she now leads a dedicated birth injury team.

Parbeen acts for clients in maximum severity birth injury claims, often valued between £5 million and £20+ million in the High Court. She is recognised for her industrious attention to detail, perseverance, analytical ability, and exceptional client care. Her clients describe her as empathetic, approachable, and tenacious qualities that make her a trusted advocate and a source of reassurance during an incredibly challenging time in their lives.

Her passion and determination to help some of the most vulnerable clients have led to numerous successful outcomes. Drawing on her own experiences, Parbeen has developed a deep understanding of the emotional and practical challenges that families face when caring for a child with complex needs. It has been said of her that “when it comes to complex, life-changing and particularly sensitive injuries, Parbeen has outstanding aptitude.”

In addition to her litigation work, Parbeen collaborates effectively with Defendant law firms and works closely with the NHS Resolution (NHSR) Early Notification Scheme, through which she has successfully secured multiple early admissions of liability in birth injury cases. Her pragmatic and professional approach to negotiations helps achieve faster resolutions and improved outcomes for her clients.

Beyond her professional practice, Parbeen is passionate about making maternity care safer in the UK. She actively supports several national charities dedicated to improving outcomes for families affected by birth trauma and brain injury. Parbeen is a proud supporter and partner of:

  • Tommys – a pregnancy and baby loss charity funding research into stillbirth, premature birth, and miscarriage.
  • Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT) – supporting children, families, and professionals affected by acquired brain injury.
  • Peeps-HIE – a charity dedicated to supporting families following a Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy event.
  • Rainbow Hub – providing rehabilitation services to children and young people with physical disabilities resulting from neurological conditions or brain injuries.

Through her ongoing involvement with these organisations, Parbeen takes part in fundraising, awareness campaigns, and community events, helping to increase the visibility and impact of these vital causes both locally and nationally. Her charitable work has also helped connect new clients with the support and guidance they need at an early stage.

Parbeen’s dedication goes far beyond legal representation. She works closely with case managers, medical experts, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure her clients’ needs are met throughout the lifetime of a claim. Her goal is always to secure the best possible outcome and long-term support for every client and family she represents.

A respected and compassionate professional, Parbeen combines technical excellence with genuine empathy—making her a highly effective advocate and a trusted leader within Fletchers’ specialist Birth Injury team.
