About Rebecca Pearey
Since qualifying as a solicitor in 2011, I have specialised in medical negligence, handling a wide range of cases including:
- Birth Injuries (including cerebral palsy, wrongful birth, erb's palsy and claims for women who have experienced 3rd / 4th degree tears)
- Amputation
- Spinal
- Sepsis
- Surgical errors
- Delayed cancer diagnoses
- Inappropriate surgical technique and management.
What Inspired You To Get Into Law?
A close family member had a brain injury following a bicycle accident and although fortunately he made a good recovery, I was inspired to help those who require assistance as a result of negligence.
What Is The Most Rewarding Aspect Of Your Role?
When clients come to us, unfortunately they have often had a very difficult time. I enjoy getting answers for my clients about what went wrong and helping them to achieve compensation to improve their quality of life.
What Do You Do Away From The Office?
My two young children keep me very busy but when time allows I like to exercise and I have previously completed the Yorkshire Marathon, raising money for Martin House. I also enjoy pilates, walking and baking.
From 2016 until 2018, I was a Trustee for a charity in Leeds called SNAPS (Special Needs and Parent Support). SNAPS offers hydrotherapy and rebound therapy for children with additional needs which was very rewarding.
