About Richard Harwood
Richard is a leading authority in serious injury at Minster Law and has over 28 years of experience conducting personal injury claims. Richard mainly deals with claims relating to road traffic accidents; acting for drivers, passengers, cyclists and motorcyclists, also accidents at work, occupier liability claims, public liability claims and serious criminal injury compensation cases.
Richard specialises in running complex fatal accidents, catastrophically injured client claims and oversees all technical and tactical queries across our complex claims teams. He also oversees cases involving multiple injuries, amputations, and brain and spinal cord injuries. Richard reports monthly on all of Minster Law’s high value claims and chairs their peer review sessions involving in depth analysis and advice on the most technically challenging and high value claims, overseeing and approving all final settlements over £250,000.00. He also delivers training on all aspects of Multi Track litigation to the teams throughout the year.
Richard is experienced in dealing with liability disputes and running these to trial, complex medical cases, Court of Protection applications and utilising the Rehabilitation Code of Practice, together with instructing Case Managers and dealing with Periodical Payments on settlements.
Richard has conducted his own advocacy at Interlocutory hearings, inquest hearings and in the Criminal Injuries Appeal Tribunal.
