About Simon Rooney

Simon is a Partner within the Claimant Personal Injury team at Taylor Rose MW. He qualified as a Solicitor in 2014 and has over 10 years of experience dealing primarily with claimant personal injury claims. He deals with a range of claims including road traffic, employers liability, industrial injuries, and public liability claims. Simon has had significant successes during his personal injury career and has helped numerous clients through the claim process to successful conclusions. He has experience of taking claims up to and including trial in the High Court.

Whilst Simon manages a range of injury types in his caseload many of the injuries are significant, complex, and often catastrophic. Simon has a keen interest of dealing with cases where the claimants have developed complex symptoms of pain and go on to develop ‘Complex Regional Pain Syndrome’ (CRPS) and he works closely with the charity ‘Burning Nights’ who provide support for CRPS sufferers.

In addition to his personal injury work Simon also undertakes cases involving professional negligence. Here he deals with claims from former personal injury claimants against their former lawyers where there is evidence that conduct was negligent and led to a claim settling at undervalue or failed entirely. He also undertakes some clinical negligence work for which he has a grounding in following his initial training.

Simon is an accredited Senior Litigator by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). He once again was also named in the 2024 Legal 500 rankings which highlighted his client focussed approach to personal injury claims.
