About Warren Maxwell

I am a Senior Associate in the Personal Injury Department at Stewarts Law. I act for claimants only in cases involving catastrophic injuries. I am experienced in all aspects of personal injury law. I have pursued claims caused by road traffic accident, accidents at work, sporting accidents, public liability claims and in foreign accident cases which involve complex issues of international law. I regularly act for claimants with complete and incomplete spinal cord injuries, polytraumatic injuries and brain injuries. I have successfully recovered over £15 million in damages in the last 4 years. Articles on cases of interest in which I am currently involved or have acted in can be accessed at the following sites; I was the solicitor for the Claimant in Cheung v Zhu (t/a Yang Sing Fish and Chip) Chancery Division, 12 May 2011 [2011] EWHC 2913 (QB); an employer's liability action where the Claimant sustained a spinal cord injury which is now often cited in slip/trip cases. Chambers & Partners 2012 comments on Stewarts Law (Leeds); Stewarts' Leeds office epitomises the firm's national standing, with an impressive breadth and depth of catastrophic injury expertise in Yorkshire. The team is often a first port of call for the highest-value and most complex brain and spinal injury cases. Clients point out: "They demonstrate a highly pragmatic approach to their cases and appreciate the concerns and priorities of different clients." The Legal 500 2012 entry for Stewarts Law Leeds reads; Stewarts Law LLP’s ‘exceptional’ lawyers are ‘motivated’, and have ‘good judgement’ and ‘genuine empathy’. The group has extensive experience in spinal injury claims.
