Matthew Phillips KC has specialised in Industrial Disease claims for over 30 years and appeared in the House of Lords in the landmark causation case of Fairchild -v- Glenhaven Funeral Services. He is considered to be one of the country’s top asbestos litigators.
Matthew has extensive experience of mesothelioma claims involving occupational as well as domestic and environmental exposure. He has acted for claimants against all the major industrial and commercial asbestos users and manufacturers.
On quantum claims, he has a particular interest in income dependency claims following the loss of the main earner in a family business, after successfully representing the claimants in the Court of Appeal in Rix v Paramount.
