Matthew Hughes

Managing Director, Dorset Orthopaedic

Matt joined Dorset Orthopaedic in 2001 after graduating from the University of Salford. During his 22 years, Matt has worked in both prosthetics and orthotics, developed clinical services across the business both in the UK and overseas with Dorset’s silicone partners and is now part of a European patient care board within Ottobock to help drive patient care excellence.

After working in a variety of different roles within the organisation, Matt became Managing Director in 2019. He remains passionate about his reduced clinical work and striving to ensure that the heart of the business continues to revolve around patients and maximising the outcomes of their rehabilitation.

Outside of work Matt can mainly be found on or in the water, normally with his two spaniels Winnie and Margot.
