Kate is an associate solicitor in Irwin Mitchell’s serious injury team, based in Sheffield.
She represents clients who have suffered serious and life-changing injuries as a consequence of all types of accidents including road traffic collisions and accidents in public places.
Within the field of serious injury, Kate specialises in cases involving children and young adults who have suffered brain injuries, and heads up the team responsible for running paediatric claims. She has many years of experience of dealing with the specific issues which arise when a child/young adult is injured, including all matters relating to education, and the long-term consequences of injuries sustained at a young age.
Kate has extensive knowledge of the key issues which arise in serious injury claims, and an excellent reputation amongst colleagues and peers for her work in the field. She is dedicated to ensuring claims are handled sensitively and professionally, working closely with the families of those injured and ensuring access to rehabilitation to achieve the optimum result for my clients.
Kate has been with Irwin Mitchell since starting her training contract in 2001, qualifying into the serious injury team in 2003.
