Peter Neenan

Peter is a dual qualified English solicitor and Illinois attorney and a Partner in the Aviation Department at Stewarts. He is known for working on the department's most high-profile cases and specialises in technically complex multi-jurisdictional aviation matters. Peter holds two master degrees in Theoretical Physics and Advanced Air & Space Law. 

Peter regularly acts for victims of aviation accidents world-wide (light aircraft, helicopter and airline accidents), and is heavily involved in the department's independent technical investigations. Peter has represented families in the majority of large airline disasters around the world over the past 13 years. Recent highlights include the Boeing 737 Max litigation, EgyptAir Flight MS804, and Malaysia Airlines Flights MH17 and MH370.

Peter has been a guest lecturer at the Leiden International Institute for Air & Space Law for the last eight years, lecturing on Plaintiff Aviation Litigation. He is the current UK chapter author for the Getting the Deal Through's Drone Regulation publication and has had articles on aspects of aviation and drone law published in a variety of journals including the Journal of Air & Space Law, the Aviation & Space Journal, and PI Focus.
