Mr Todd was a consultant neurosurgeon and spinal surgeon based at the Regional Neurosciences Centre, Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne. He retired from the NHS in October of 2011. Mr Todd continued in clinical practice privately until April 2015 when he took a break from clinical practice in order to prioritise academic work.
Mr Todd has expertise in traumatic brain and spinal cord injury, brain tumours, brain abscess, subarachnoid haemorrhage, hydrocephalus, spinal cord injury, spinal abscess, cervical and lumbar disc prolapse and stenosis, spontaneous epidural haematoma, spinal tumour and cauda equina syndrome.
