Master Thornett

Master of the Queens Bench Division

Master Thornett qualified as a solicitor in 1990 at a commercial firm of solicitors and was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1991.

He had a general civil practice for the first 10 years as a Barrister and thereafter specialised in personal injury and clinical negligence.

He was appointed a Deputy District Judge in 2008 and assigned to the Central London region of County Courts.

He was appointed as a full time Master of the Queen’s Bench Division of the High Court in 2016. Since 2011 he has been the editor of Sweet & Maxwell’s online Personal Injury Bulletin.
