Heidi Stanley

Director and Clinical Case Manager at StanleySmith Case Management

Heidi is an experienced Case Manager, specialising in working with children and young adults with neurological injuries acquired from birth, injury, or illness.

Heidi, Director of StanleySmith Case Management, qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2000 and has since gained extensive experience as a Clinical Case Manager and an expert witness. Alongside Director, Nikki Smith, Heidi established StanleySmith Case Management in 2018.

Throughout her career, Heidi has specialised in working with children and young adults up to the age of 25 who have sustained neurological injuries at birth or due to an accident or illness. She has worked with many of these clients for several years, guiding them through transitions from preschool to primary school and then on to secondary school. It is important to Heidi that she works closely with the clients’ parents or families and the multidisciplinary team.

Since 2015, Heidi has served as a mentor to other paediatric Case Managers. Additionally, she is a member of the BABICM Professional Practice and Membership Group and achieved Advanced Membership status in 2015.

Heidi approaches her work with innovative, outside-the-box thinking, helping her clients work toward actions and goals that are important to them. As part of this, Heidi actively engages in their ongoing learning and development and has recently completed training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
