William Chapman

Barrister, 7 BR Chambers, London

William Chapman is a barrister at 7BR practising principally in personal injury and clinical negligence. He is ranked as a leading junior in the Legal 500 for personal injury and acts regularly in catastrophic injury claims, with a particular interest in cases involving traumatic brain injury and the use of advance neuroimaging in litigation.

Before coming to the Bar he practised as an economist. He works almost exclusively from digital papers and is well known for the efficiency with which he handles large evidential bundles in complex litigation.

He has also acted in significant inquiry and group abuse litigation, including for claimants in the Rotherham child sexual exploitation cases, for core participants in the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse, and in Phase 1 of the Southport Inquiry.

William accepts instructions directly under the Bar Council's Public Access Scheme as well as from solicitors and licensed access clients.
