Richard Boyle

Richard acts in all areas of personal injury work for both Claimants and Defendants. He is regularly instructed in high value multi-track claims in the County Court and the High Court. He is comfortable drafting and advising on such cases, as well as attending Joint Settlement Meetings. Richard is frequently in court and experienced in cross examination, particularly after extensive trial experience representing insurers in motor fraud cases where fraud and/or fundamental dishonesty have been alleged.

In addition to his private practice, Richard often acts in personal injury and clinical negligence claims involving the state. He has expertise in cases involving the military, including claims for failure to diagnose PTSD, near-freezing cold injuries, negligent prescription of lariam, bullying & harassment claims and injuries sustained in military camps, such as Camp Bastion. Richard has represented the Ministry of Defence as sole counsel in a cohort of claims relating to PTSD suffered during military service. He also receives instructions involving prisons, including prisoner-on-prisoner assaults and assaults on prison staff.
