Chief Clinical Information Officer, Ambulance Service
David is a paramedic who works as a Chief Clinical Information Officer in the Ambulance Service, in addition to working on frontline paramedic shifts, having previously worked as clinical director for mental health commissioning and as a regional head of governance for NHS 111 and 999 telephone and dispatch services.
Previously he led the national NHS 111 Workforce Development Programme, was the College of Paramedics representative to the NHS Pathways National Clinical Governance Group and Emergency Call Prioritisation Advisory Group for England and prior to this was stroke lead for the College of Paramedics, working to introduce pre-hospital measures into stroke national audits and the intercollegiate guidelines.
He has been providing expert witness services for the last five years, focusing on prehospital stroke care, telephone triage, general paramedic and ambulance cases, as well as paramedic regulatory cases.
