Founder and Clinical Director of Linguistic Resolutions
Sally Ghibaldan is the Founder and Clinical Director of Linguistic Resolutions and has practised as a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist for 24 years. She works exclusively with adults with acquired neurological injury, with particular expertise in traumatic brain injury and cognitive communication disorder (CCD).
Sally founded Linguistic Resolutions in 2007. Under her clinical leadership, the organisation has grown into a national team of 60 specialist clinicians delivering high-quality neuro speech and language therapy across the UK. She remains actively involved in complex case work and is committed to advancing understanding of the essential role Speech and Language Therapy plays in brain injury rehabilitation, long-term outcomes and medico-legal contexts.
She has extensive experience across acute and post-acute neurorehabilitation settings within the NHS, independent sector, charities and the military, including inpatient rehabilitation units, specialist brain injury services, outpatient clinics and community-based rehabilitation. Her work frequently forms part of complex, interdisciplinary rehabilitation programmes in high-value personal injury and clinical negligence cases.
Sally has a specialist interest in cognitive communication disorder, dysphasia, dyspraxia and facial palsy, and is particularly passionate about supporting individuals whose communication difficulties are “hidden” yet profoundly disabling. She works closely with case managers, interdisciplinary therapy teams and legal professionals to ensure communication impairments are clearly identified, robustly evidenced and meaningfully addressed throughout the rehabilitation pathway.
She leads the only independent Speech and Language Therapy provider in the UK currently delivering ICAPs (Intensive Comprehensive Aphasia Programme), a structured and clinically rigorous model designed to comprehensively assess and treat individuals with aphasia. Building on the outcomes of ICAPs, Sally is launching ICCCAMS (Intensive Comprehensive Customised Cognitive-Communication Assessment and Management Scheme), an integrated pathway combining in-depth assessment, targeted intervention and measurable outcome tracking within a rehabilitation and medico-legal framework for individuals with CCD.
In addition, Sally has established a specialist cognitive communication group therapy service, supporting individuals with CCD and their families to rebuild meaningful interaction and address the often-overlooked social and relational impact of brain injury.
