Robert Moisey

Consultant in General Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, Huddersfield

Dr Robert Moisey has been a consultant specialist since 2007. He grew up in the City of Bath and chose to study Medicine at Leeds University graduating in 1996. He spent time training as a Junior Doctor in Bradford before undertaking further training in Derby, where he passed the Royal College of Physician exams in 2000. He spent a year working in the speciality of Diabetes & Endocrinology in Hamilton, New Zealand before returning to West Yorkshire in 2002 to complete his specialist training.

Dr Moisey has been a consultant at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHSFT since 2009. This is a busy District General Hospital covering a population of approximately 450,000. Dr Moisey was clinical director for medical services for nine years and is now clinical lead for reconfiguration of services at the Trust. He is the Trust lead for sepsis.

His clinical practice covers general diabetes including a specialist diabetes foot service, an endocrine service including thyroid, parathyroid and pituitary disease as well as working in the acute medical unit. 

He runs a busy private medical practice and provides consultancy services for an established on-line provider for testosterone replacement therapy. 

Dr Moisey has been providing medico-legal reports since 2018. He is instructed in 80+ clinical negligence reports a year. 

He has extensive experience in clinical negligence cases, life expectancy reports as well as personal injury reports including traumatic brain injury. He regularly provides reports for the Coroner, Criminal Courts and Family/Employment/Immigration Tribunals
