Dr Vias Demetriou is a Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne. He trained in medicine at the University of Oxford, where he also completed an intercalated degree in Physiology, before undertaking core surgical training in the Oxford Deanery and subsequent radiology training in the North East.
Dr Demetriou completed a dedicated Interventional Neuroradiology Fellowship in Newcastle, complemented by additional specialist fellowships in Stoke and Hull. His clinical expertise focuses on advanced neurovascular interventions, including stroke thrombectomy and intracranial aneurysm treatment, as well as diagnostic Neuroradiology..
