Neil McKinley

Incoming APIL President

Neil has been exclusively involved in claimant personal injury litigation for over 30 years.

During this time he has worked for Trade Unions, their members and private individuals. He has used all methods of funding adapting to the many changes as times and the rules have changed. During this period he dealt with every type of case from the simple cut finger, trips and slips, disease cases and the much more serious catastrophic injury and fatal cases.

Neil is a Fellow of APIL and has been a member of the Executive Committee since 2019 having previously served from 1998 to 2001. In that first period he also worked on groups dealing with the implementation and consequences of the Woolf reforms. He also acted for APIL in being involved with educational groups at our conferences.

At this time he is also the APIL representative on the governmental Diffuse Mesothelioma Scheme Committee, monitoring how the scheme is working, the amounts being paid and the treatment of the applicants.
