RTA liability: Pedestrians and vulnerable road users

APIL CPD:
All levels - 1 hour

(Please note that the number of CPD hours may be subject to change)

Last year, rules for all types of road users were updated in The Highway Code to improve the safety of people walking, cycling and riding horses, but how will these changes and our increasingly varied use of roads impact on RTA claims?

This webinar (accompanied by a comprehensive resource pack for future reference) will guide you through the process of investigating, assessing and successfully pursuing cases on behalf of pedestrians and other highway users at increased risk of injury.

Topics will include:

  • General principles, investigation and use of experts
  • Highway Code revisions (January 2022) and implications
  • The landscape: Pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, e-scooters and autonomous vehicles
  • Contributory negligence in RTA claims involving children
