Job details

APIL is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to lead the development and delivery of marketing strategies that drive membership growth, increase training enrolments, strengthen engagement and enhance brand visibility. This is a pivotal role within a values-led organisation operating in a specialist legal and professional services market.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Membership, you will create and implement an annual marketing plan aligned to commercial objectives. You will lead integrated, multi-channel campaigns that support membership recruitment and retention while growing participation across training, learning and development programmes.

The role combines strategic thinking with practical delivery. You will oversee digital marketing activity including website performance, SEO, CRM campaigns and automation, while ensuring a strong and consistent brand presence across all communications. Working collaboratively with internal teams, you will optimise customer journeys, strengthen conversion funnels and use performance data to continuously refine activity and demonstrate return on investment. Regular reporting to senior stakeholders will form an important part of the role.

About You

You will bring proven marketing experience, ideally gained within a membership body, professional services organisation, training provider or similar environment. You will have strong digital marketing expertise, experience delivering measurable campaigns, and the ability to translate data into actionable insight.

Commercially aware and analytically confident, you will be comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on. Strong writing and content development skills, excellent project management capability, and the confidence to engage effectively with senior stakeholders are essential.

If you are a proactive marketing professional ready to take ownership of a broad and impactful role, we would welcome your application.

If this sounds like the role for you, please download the job description and person specification here and send an up-to-date CV (including postal address), together with a covering letter of no more than two sides detailing how you match the requirements of the role and your reasons for applying, to [email protected] by 5pm on 27th March 2026.  Applications received after this date will not be considered.  Interviews will be held week commencing 13th April 2026. Please note your application will not be considered without a covering letter.
