"100% of the feedback received for Gordon's last webinar, marked it as "excellent""

Claims for loss of earnings are a fundamental part of many actions for personal injury. It is essential that practitioners have a detailed knowledge of the way that the courts approach this issue in practice, and the guidance given in the new Actuarial Tables.

This webinar looks at claims for loss of earnings using:

  • Recent case law: where the courts provide guidance as to the evidence necessary to prove an ongoing loss
  • The “Ogden 8” approach – with a close look at how the approach advocated in the Actuarial tables has been used, and adapted, by the courts
  • Detailed guidance as to the appropriate loss of earnings multiplier and contingencies as a result of Ogden 8
  • Disability in the labour market, Blamire and awards for loss of congenial employment

This webinar also takes a look at the awards that the courts make in respect of future loss of earnings of young children and examines the factors that determine the sums reached – which can vary considerably.
