FAIRNESS FOR INJURED PEOPLE
Keynote address by: The Right Honourable Sir Rupert Jackson
Brand new session: 'Fairness to injured people: the new discount rate – consequences, pitfalls and how to future-proof your clients’ damages'

Back by popular demand, we shall be returning to the superb Celtic Manor Resort in May for APIL's 2017 annual conference and AGM.

The conference will kick off with our Annual General Meeting, followed by lively plenary sessions covering the theme of "Fairness for injured people".  The Right Honourable Sir Rupert Jackson will deliver the keynote address on 'Fixed Costs and Proportionality' as well, this conference promises to be THE conference that any claimant personal injury lawyer should choose to attend.  New members are welcomed!

We have put together the usual affordable residential package and, due to its popularity at last year's conference, we have also re-introduced the ‘First timers’ residential package, where members attending the APIL annual conference for the first time can take advantage of a special rate and meet up with a whole new network of people associated with personal injury law.

The conference will therefore open on the Wednesday evening with with a drinks reception for first timers, followed by a rolling networking buffet.

The full programme will hit all members’ desks shortly.  See below for the list of seminars to be covered over the two days:

  • The Care Act and rehabilitation
  • Court fees
  • Motor insurance liability and reform
  • Running a profitable, solvent PI practice
  • Evidence, if you can't prove it, you don't get it!
  • The future for the Portal and MedCo under the whiplash and the small claims reforms
  • Best practice
  • Inquests
  • Social media marketing for solicitors

Both residential packages include attendance at both days of the conference, access to the exhibition, refreshments and meals throughout the two days, notes to accompany the event, a ticket to the black-tie gala dinner and overnight accommodation on Thursday, 18 May.

Day delegate rates are also available.
